It's lovely for both sunrise or sunset portraiture sessions and truly makes for elegant images! The tree lined paths, ample greenery and tucked away feel set the tone for a classic setting. Years from now, when the photos are hung, they will continue to shine.

Good morning and thanks for stopping by! I'm thrilled to see you here and hope you enjoy viewing the 2016 year in review. As a portrait photographer, I document family milestones such as newborn photography, children's sessions, pregnancy portraits and of course updated family photos. This is what makes my heart sing. 

When looking back on last year, 2015, I wrote a blog post compiling my favorite sessions. Back and forth I debated, internally conflicted, until I narrowed down the sessions. However, for 2016 I'd like to do things a little differently: over my photography journey I have been blessed to meet you. Photographing your families, connecting with your children and preserving all that is meaningful has shaped me in the best of ways. You've shown me the quiet moments that we often miss because we're so focused on what's next. Through our time together, I have gained a sacred sense for how quickly time is fleeting and I've applied that knowledge to my own interactions at home. As a mama to three little girls, and a full time small business owner, it's easy to find yourself distracted by everyday things. My work with my clients teaches me to slow down, enjoy the moment, and be more present. Thank you for that.

Each session has it's own pure magic and dynamic, no matter the type. Thank you for sharing your family with me. Thank you for your trust! Finally, thank you for allowing me to capture the best parts of your life; the light and the happiness of family portraits.

Neutral and Natural Inspired Baby Boy's Newborn Session

Today it's quiet at my desk as I complete client galleries and finalize business tasks. However, I'm also looking forward to showing you one of the latest newborn baby boy's I had the honor of documenting. As a Houston Newborn Photographer, the wee ones are my specialty. There is something absolutely sacred about documenting precious babies, from the way they're ever so curly to molding them into poses reflecting that of the womb. While the art of newborn portraits are highly customized and require much love, care and attention to detail, I delight in these aspects. 

For each baby, I truly adore wrapping them! Not only are the wraps super soft, stretchy and pliable, they provide organic texture to your newborn gallery and showcase the beauty of baby. I provide everything from start to finish. Your color preferences are import to me though I will also incorporate your personal heirloom items if you'd like.

Baby Boy in Blue is just stunning! The hand knitted bonnet frames his cherub face without detracting from his handsome self. While I do like vintage and rustic prop pieces, I also like them to simply enhance baby and not be a distraction. Soft textiles add texture. Antique pieces reflect a classic fine art tone in your images. 

The macro details make your gallery shine! I love doing these. The lips, eyelashes, and their tufts of hair. Pure magic. The light fills baby's features and I cannot help but marvel in how babies are ever so purposefully born. They're the light of our lives. As a mother to three little girls, I can tell you I treasure their newborn portraits immensely! 

He looks ever so dapper in my favorite bucket! The green is a perfect compliment to him.
