Centrally located inside the 610 loop in the prestigious River Oaks/Uptown neighborhood, Sarah and Kevin are a husband and wife team. Sarah’s role:
Sarah is your photographer and the creative we lovingly refer to as “right-brained.” Sarah is responsible for photographing sessions, such as time and talent, session design, editing, and client communication via e-mail. You will spend most, if not all, of your time with her. Kevin may assist, though his role is business-based. Sarah also finalizes online proofing, professional editing, albums, and wall art.
Kevin’s role:
Kevin’s role is entirely business-based, as he is the “left brain” of the business! For instance, his main role as co/an owner is bookkeeping, taxes, accounting, and business planning. Kevin is responsible for phone consultations and chats while Sarah is photographing clients. Kevin’s role also includes assisting during photography sessions, as needed, occasionally.
Our Family
We have four young children, three redheaded little ladies, and dashing gentlemen who keep us on our toes! Being busy parents has influenced our business and is the heart of our customer service as well as completely transparent pricing and session processes.

Kevin and Sarah have been a couple since 2007 and married since 2009. What started as a small crush has developed into marriage, full-time business ownership, lifelong partnerships, and fantastic parental roles.
The tiny tribe of wild women + chief jack
Our three little girls named Emma, Lucy, and Amelia, are sassy, spunky, and spirited. We lovingly refer to our gaggle of little ladies as the ‘Tiny Tribe of Wild Women’ as they certainly keep us on our toes! Our grand finale, Jack, is full of mischief and joy.

We are full-time business owners specializing in posed newborn portraits in a studio setting. I have mentored some fantastic artists and have dedicated my photography career to new arrivals. Documenting brand-new babies is not something I occasionally do; it's my specialty and what I am known for as one of the top Houston newborn photographers. Your baby is in great hands, and you will receive dreamy, timeless, and stunning works of art!

OPTION TO ADD AIRBRUSH MAKEUP AND ARTISTRY TO ALL PORTRAIT PACKAGES
The studio has partnered with a top-notch professional hair styling and airbrush makeup artist, Annie Williams. Services are available as an add-on to all portrait packages. Our preferred vendor provides on-location services at our studio or, if you prefer, your home.
As of April 2021, studio visits and tours are available to booked clients only. A booked client means you have commissioned our services by signing your online portraiture agreement, selecting your package, and fulfilling the $100 deposit. Fun Facts:
Sarah and Kevin are full-time business owners at SBP. Together, they create a highly sought-after customer service-driven experience, resulting in baby and infant art stunning works. High school sweethearts and married since 2009, they lovingly refer to their four kiddos as 'The Tiny Tribe of Wild Women and Chief Jack.' See glimpses of Lucy, Emma, Amelia, and Jack below. They reside in Cypress, TX, enjoy family trips, hiking, cooking, date night adventures, spending time with the grandparents, musicals, museums, avidly reading, playing video games, smoking Texas BBQ on Kevin's custom pit, and watching college football.
Here's how you pronounce our last name: Bork-group-VEENK. I married a Norwegian lad, and the last word came with him.
We have three red-headed little gals; neither the hubby nor I have red hair, so it's like a surprise every time I have a baby. We also have a super handsome little fellow named Jack, born at the end of 2017. Four kids keep us busy!
Monday night is date night at my house! My hubby and I pick an activity, alternating turns in planning a home date for one another. I firmly believe in dating your spouse and keeping things fun. To this day, I have a massive crush on him. I am one lucky lady and swoon over him!
I'm a rule follower. I've never even had a speeding ticket! The danger is NOT my middle name!
Always be kind. Always take the high road. Always forgive. This has served me well. I also try not to take myself too seriously.
I'm a Paleo chick. I "hunt" and "gather" by going to HEB or visiting my local farmers’ market. If you’re into intermittent fasting and bulletproof coffee, we may have lots to talk about, ha!
When my grandmother texts me, it puts a massive smile on my face. However, I love it even more, when she writes me a letter. There's something authentic about good 'old-fashioned snail mail.
My spouse is my best bud. He is all I've ever longed for, and I'm in it to win it. Because we live on the edge, we've been married since we were 19. Here we are ten years later with a bunch of kids and a house in the suburbs! Funny how life is like that, huh?
I edit 99.99 percent of my sessions to Mumford & Sons via my Pandora station. Lately, however, I’ve been into musicals!
The cold side of the pillow is the best. Hands down. Also, my husband bought me a goose-down pillow when we first dated. Every few years, he believes me a new one, as a tradition, and we name the pillows version Side Sleeper Deluxe 2.0, 3.0, etc.
I don't use any Mac products. I have a custom-built PC that blows any Apple out of the water ;)
Yoga Pants are a size. So are "leggings."
I use Canon and am armed with a vast list of prime lenses. I have everything from 20 mm to 200 mm to keep me busy!
Laundry is my least favorite chore; I call the ever-growing pile "Mt. Washmore" (there's a little mom humor for you).
Being a wee bit type A is just who I am. I am detail-oriented, love being organized, and enjoy the business side of photography. The older I get, the more I realize I like routine and structure, which is why I love being my boss, lol!

STUDIO HOURS & 6 DAYS PER WEEK AVAILABILITY:
Studio sessions, consultations, and gown fittings occur during the hours below. Sarah and Kevin are a husband and wife team with six days/week availability. Sundays are no longer available as our studio's commercial office building is located within stopped offering air conditioning on Sundays in response to COVID-19.
M-F from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 pm
Sunday: Closed
OUTDOOR, ON-LOCATION PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY HOURS
Outdoor sessions (maternity or family) are scheduled outside studio hours at sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset. Due to the tentative nature of outdoor sessions, these occur at different times throughout the year. Would you please e-mail directly as our online calendar is for studio appointments only?
We offer ten outdoor appointments per month. If weekends are your preference, please consider booking as early as possible.
