The session process:

• Package pricing is transparent and straightforward. Our studio focus is selling full-resolution, retouched JPEG digital files and an unlimited print release you may use infinitely.

• One flat rate includes studio time, design, wardrobe, proofing, retouching, and your gallery of impeccably edited full-resolution JPEG images available for instant digital download.

• We offer six days per week availability and a 14-day turnaround time, from the day after your session, throughout the year. Rush editing is available for purchase.

• There are no in-person sales appointments, minimum print orders, separate session fees, or hidden fees. Select the package with the number of digital files you'd like to receive.

• All packages include access to our client closet. You may also add stunning airbrush makeup and hair artistry with our featured vendor. Feel free to browse a few of Sarah’s Favorite Dresses Available to You.

• Option to Purchase Rush Editing: If you would like to receive your gallery before the 14-day deadline, you are welcome to purchase rush editing for an additional $200 (plus tax). You will receive your gallery within one business day (M-F, excluding weekends, holidays, family emergencies, natural disasters, or vacations).

• Option to add additional full-resolution JPEG images or heirloom prints and products through your online proofing gallery. There is no obligation to purchase anything beyond your initial package. Unedited or RAW files are not available under any circumstances. The studio sells complete work. test

• The client closet provides numerous options for newborns, infants, and toddlers, boy tops (up to 7t), shirts and tops for dads, darling knits and outfits for toddler boys and girls, and motherhood gowns. On-location airbrush makeup and hair artistry are available as an add-on, too. We also offer complimentary studio tours and gown fittings and invite you to visit with us so we may assist in styling you.

***All rates below reflect a fully legal, tax-paying, licensed, and insured full-time small business. The studio is fully vaccinated and practices newborn safety at all times.***

• Twin newborn photography sessions are available M-F BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10:00 A.M. AND 1 P.M. (FINISH SESSION NO LATER THAN 1:00 P.M.) We will not be accepting twins during June - September.

• Twin newborn sessions include a $200 fee and an additional 60 minutes/talent. Twin newborn sessions may be any package you like. We split the session between your little ones.

• The best time to visit is the first 14 days of life. However, flexible scheduling is available for both full-term births and babies who spent time in the NICU. Always feel like you may contact us for a session. Like you, Kevin and I are parents who value custom photography, and we understand the importance of these images. We promise to do our best to be flexible. We're excited to serve you!

• The studio provides all props, designs, accessories, studio wardrobe, and more. All you need to bring is your baby and how you feed Baby. Props, accessories, and all designs are sanitized between use. Our studio has a daily commercial-grade cleaning service. Masks and gloves are worn for each session. • Upon booking, a posed newborn prep guide is provided to prepare the Baby for their photo debut successfully!

• The client closet provides numerous options for newborns, infants, and toddlers, boy tops (up to 7t), shirts and tops for dads, darling knits and outfits for toddler boys and girls, and motherhood gowns. On-location airbrush makeup and hair artistry are available as an add-on, too. We also offer complimentary studio tours and gown fittings and invite you to visit with us so we may assist in styling you.

• The studio has partnered with a top-notch professional hair styling and airbrush makeup artist, Annie Williams. Services are available as an add-on to all portrait packages. Our preferred vendor provides on-location services at our studio or, if you prefer, your home.

Full Newborn | $1300 + tax includes three hours of studio time, family, sibling, parent images, and individual newborn portraits. Your baby’s setups include cozy wrapping, naked posing, macro photography, and floor props. Your choice of 40 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+matching black/white edits) are delivered via instant digital download. This package is available to babies up to 21 days new for full-term infants and three weeks for babies born early who spent time in the NICU. The session may also be Baby only if this is your preference.

Petite Newborn | $1150 + tax includes up to two hours of studio time. Family, sibling, parent images, and individual newborn portraits. Your baby’s setups include wrapping, naked posing, macro photography, and floor props. Your choice of 25 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+matching black/white edits) are delivered via instant digital download. This package is available to babies up to 21 days new for full-term infants and three weeks for babies born early who spent time in the NICU. The session may also be Baby only if this is your preference.

Wrapped Newborn | $750 + tax includes 90 minutes of studio time, and the session is for Baby only. The baby is wrapped the entire session in three styles of unique and cozy newborn wrapping. Floor props and macro photography are also included. Your choice of 20 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+matching black/white edits) are delivered via instant digital download. This package is available to babies up to 25 days new, for full-term infants, or six weeks for babies who were early and spent time in the NICU. Bean Bag Newborn Session at $650 + tax includes 60 minutes of studio time, and the session is for Baby only. Baby is naked the entire time and posed in those oh-so-squishy and curly bean bag poses. One backdrop color of your choice is included, along with accessories such as bonnets or headbands. Your choice of 10 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. This package is available to babies up to 10 days new. WraPPED newborn OR BEANBAG package FAMILY ADD ON OF $200 + TAX.

• The wrapped newborn and bean bag newborn session are designed for parents who would like a smaller package; however, if you would like to participate in the session, you are welcome to add family, sibling, and parent setups for an additional $200. This includes six more digital files of your choice and 30 more minutes of coverage. For instance, we cover several setups: the entire family, Mom with Baby, Dad with Baby, Sibling with Baby, Mom with the little ones, Dad with the little ones, and more. You may even add grandparents to the session, too. Your gallery is sure to be stunning and truly remarkable. The scheduling calendar allows you to add the upgrade upon scheduling your wrapped newborn or bean bag newborn session. The calendar automatically adds the additional time to your package and the fee to your invoice.

Membership clients have priority on the calendar. A motherhood wardrobe is included for Mom. An heirloom 10”x10” professional-grade album is included in all portrait memberships and your full-resolution digital images.

  WHAT COMBINATIONS ARE OFFERED?

  There are three membership options available! They are as follows:

  • Belly and Newborn at $1900 + tax | Includes ‘simple maternity/family’ package + “petite newborn session’ (2 sessions total) at $1900 + tax

  • Baby Plan at $2400 + tax | Includes ‘petite newborn session’ package as well as a ‘pure baby milestone’ package at seven months and a ‘pure baby milestone’ package at 12 months (3 sessions total) at $2400 + tax.

  • Maternity + Baby Plan at $3250 + tax | Includes a ‘simple maternity/family’ package as well ‘petite newborn session’ package, a ‘pure baby milestone’ package at seven months, and a ‘pure baby milestone’ package at 12 months (4 sessions total).

  The monumental milestones are pregnancy, newborn, and when Baby is sitting up unassisted, and Baby turning one with a cake smash and splash session.

Baby milestone sessions take place six days per week and are by appointment only. These are available to babies who are 3-18 months old. Full styling, such as props and wardrobe, is included. All packages include a private online proofing gallery, print release, lab recommendations, and a list of cloud storage options to consider. See Houston Baby and Infant Milestone Portfolio.

• Option to add family, sibling, or parent images to your package upon booking. The fee is $75 + tax and includes an additional 20 minutes of studio time and three additional digital files of your choosing. Motherhood and sister wardrobe is included should you be interested in using our client closet.

• The client closet provides numerous options for newborns, infants, and toddlers, boy tops (up to 7t), shirts and tops for dads, darling knits and outfits for toddler boys and girls, and motherhood gowns. On-location airbrush makeup and hair artistry are available as an add-on, too. We also offer complimentary studio tours and gown fittings and invite you to visit with us so we may assist in styling you.

Mini Baby | $375 + tax includes 10 minutes of studio time. Your choice of 5 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) are delivered via instant digital download. This package is ideal for parents who would like a minimal version of our more extensive sessions. A ‘mini’ means the meeting is a miniature version of our full experience. Expect to see one outfit as we focus on capturing your Baby’s current milestones.

Sweet Baby | $525 + tax includes 20 minutes of studio time. Your choice of 8 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) are delivered via instant digital download. Expect to see up to 2 outfits as we focus on capturing your Baby’s current milestones.

Pure Baby | $675 + tax includes 30 minutes of studio time. Your choice of 15 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Expect to see up to 3 outfits as we focus on capturing your Baby’s current milestones.

Darling Baby | $725 + tax includes 45 minutes of studio time. Your choice of 25 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Expect to see up to 4 outfits as we focus on capturing your Baby’s current milestones.

The following packages occur in our natural light lifestyle room at 4550 Post Oak Place Drive. 

Available six days per week, sessions are booked by appointment only through our online booking calendar. Please visit the Houston, Texas Portrait Studio page to browse contemporary pregnancy, maternity, and family sessions for expecting mothers and growing families to see samples of our studio images. All portrait packages include motherhood, sisterhood, or maternity wardrobe. In addition, we include an infant wardrobe for 3 - 18 months for both Brother and Sister. You also have the option to add highly acclaimed professional airbrush makeup and hair artistry to your package. 

The client closet provides numerous options for newborns, infants, and toddlers, boy tops (up to 7t), shirts and tops for dads, darling knits and outfits for toddler boys and girls, and motherhood gowns. On-location airbrush makeup and hair artistry are available as an add-on, too. We also offer complimentary studio tours and gown fittings and invite you to visit with us so we may assist in styling you.

• Update: as of 1-8-2022, the commercial office building in which our studio is located is no longer allowing pets to visit unless they’re service animals. We’re very sad to share this, though we must abide by the building guidelines.

Mini Maternity for Mother Only | $450 + tax includes 15 minutes of studio time and motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 5 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. The session is for the mother-to-be. One gown of your choice is included. This package is ideal for mothers-to-be who would like a minimal version of our more extensive sessions, such as the ‘simple’ or ‘classic’ below. A ‘mini’ means the meeting is a miniature version of our full experience. 

Mini Family or Maternity | $550 + tax includes 20 minutes of studio time, spouse and children, and a motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 5 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. One gown of your choice is included. A mini package is ideal for parents or families who would like a minimal version of our more extensive sessions, such as the ‘simple’ or ‘classic’ below. A ‘mini’ means the meeting is a miniature version of our full experience.  

“The Simple” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $850 + tax includes 45 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 15 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Two gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like more variety or have children who take longer to warm up to the camera. 

“The Classic” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $950 + tax includes 60 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 25 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Three gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like to see several different setups and posed, candid, natural, and suitable if you’re bringing a pet to your session. The additional time allows for more variety.

All outdoor sessions take place at sunrise or 30 minutes before sunset. Sessions are available by appointment only and scheduled through the contact tab. Our online scheduling calendar is for studio sessions only because the sun rises and sets at different times daily. 

• We offer ten outdoor appointments per month. Each parent receives three dates from which they select; one is set for our photography session, and then you’re offered two separate dates in case of emergencies, poor weather, illness, or something outside your control. If weekends are your preference, please consider booking as early as possible.

“The Simple” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $850 + tax includes 45 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 15 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Two gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like more variety or have children who take longer to warm up to the camera. 

“The Classic” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $950 + tax includes 60 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 25 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Three gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like to see several different setups and posed, candid, natural, and suitable if you’re bringing a pet to your session. Option to add additional digital files to your package

Your portraiture package comes with what's listed in the pricing guide. Our studio focuses on selling completed work, such as professionally enhanced, full-resolution JPEG digital files, along with an unlimited print release. While there is no obligation to purchase additional files, they are available at the following rates. You may buy other images upon receiving your online proofing gallery. Images you do not choose are discarded. All purchased images include a matching black-and-white edit. Please note Texas sales tax is added to all purchases at a rate of 8.25 percent.

Membership clients receive the option to either have a second copy of their album as a complementary option or double the number of pages in their final album to 40 spreads, 80 pages.

Unedited or RAW images are not available under any circumstances. There is no pressure or obligation to purchase anything beyond your initial investment.

PROFESSIONAL-GRADE HEIRLOOM ALBUM DETAILS as an add-on to any package

• You may add an album to any package type above (a la carte packages such as single sessions).

• Pricing for a 10”x10” professional-grade heirloom album is $550 + tax. The albums include 20 spreads, which is 40 pages.

• You may add a grandparent or other copy of your album for an additional $450 + tax.

• Light and airy linen cover options are highly curated woven linen that combines an irresistible softness with understated elegance. Available in 20 colors.

• Luxurious genuine leather options are 100% natural Genuine Leather comes in various buttery smooth or classic distressed textures. Available in 12 colors.

STUDIO HOURS & 6 DAYS PER WEEK AVAILABILITY:

Studio sessions, consultations, and gown fittings occur during the hours below. Sarah and Kevin are a husband and wife team with seven days/week availability. Sundays are no longer available as our studio's commercial office building is located within stopped offering air conditioning on Sundays in response to COVID-19.

• M-F from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

• Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 pm

• Sunday: Closed

OUTDOOR, ON-LOCATION PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY HOURS

Outdoor sessions (maternity or family) are scheduled outside studio hours at sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset. Due to the tentative nature of outdoor sessions, these occur at different times throughout the year. Would you please e-mail directly as our online calendar is for studio appointments only?

• We offer ten outdoor appointments per month. If weekends are your preference, please consider booking as early as possible.

Studio Retouching and Editing Policy

Per your contract, here is our studio editing policy. Once we receive your list of final images, the selections are professionally edited and enhanced. Our retouching style is natural; however, each image is unique and treated as such. You may expect the following items.

*All acne, blemishes, or scratches removed from each person
*Skin smoothing and softening applied to each person
*Softening/removing bags under the eyes of each person
*Removing flakes or peeling skin from each person
*Removal of facial shine
*Stray hair removal from each person as well as flyaway hairs around their heads or shoulders
*Teeth whitening for those who it applies
*Eye sharpening for those who apply
*Adjusting skin tones as needed
*Any bumps or bruises removed as needed
*Eye whitening for those who apply

Complex edits, subject to $25 per image, are sent to a professional retoucher. The following are not included in our standard studio editing policy, though they are available for purchase.

• If you are interested in any of the following, please make a note of your images. The gallery gives you the option to write notes so we may view them.

• Other examples of complex edits, subject to the $25 quote per image, include braces removal, opening or closing eyes, eyeglass glare, adjusting your clothing in any way, head swaps, opening eyes, and extending backdrops. Adding or removing people from an image, removing cars or buildings, weight loss, body contouring, slimming, and changing backdrops are also complex edits. Moreover, makeup applications, altering hairstyles or nails, and removing gray hairs, or changing hair and clothing colors, are also considered complex edits. SBP deems to right what is and what is not, considered complex.
