As of April 2021, studio visits are available to booked clients only. A booked client means you have commissioned our services through signing your online portraiture agreement, selecting your package, and fulfilling the $100 deposit. Because of COVID-19, we can no longer have more than one client in our studio at a time. Happy Tuesday to you! This month's blog post shares details surrounding scheduling a complimentary studio tour with us, Sarah, and Kevin. Together, we're a husband and wife team located in Uptown, with seven days a week availability to meet with you. Complimentary consultations are available to booked clients only.

You see, photographing baby bumps, newborns, and growing families is an absolute joy. We love every minute of it; we both have different roles in the business. Though no matter the day, we invite you to visit for a complimentary studio tour.

During a tour, we spend 30 minutes with you. We show you the studio, always have snacks and beverages, and am happy to hear about your baby or family. We also will peruse wardrobe, professional prints, and products, particularly those included in our membership packages, and answer any concerns you may have. Commissioning a photographer can be daunting.

We understand. We have four little ones, and being parents has influenced how we interact with clients. Through complete transparency, online booking, impeccable customer service, and authentic love for our job, we create a lovely experience for you.

When do tours take place?

Studio tours take place during these hours:

• M/W/F from 9:30 am - 3:30pm

• Tue/Thursday from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

• Saturday and Sunday are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Helpful Details:

• The studio tour and consultations are 30 minutes long. These are complimentary. A deposit or contract is not required though I urge you to be please respectful of the studio's time and not select a date/time if you're unsure you will arrive. When selecting a time, this means you have taken a slot from a potential session. Studio policy states if you fail to come for your first consult, a $50 fee will be required to book a second consult.

Hi, gang! Welcome! As 2019 winds down, the studio is gearing up for a great upcoming year! We are thrilled to share we’re accepting due date placeholders for 2020. A due date placeholder is a beautiful way to commission our studio as your baby’s portrait artist. A due date placeholder means your estimated due date is added to our calendar. This lets us know how many babies to expect each month so we may plan accordingly.

Newborn sessions occur in the first 14 days of life, preferably when your Little One is 5-9 days old. This timeframe is the optimal time when new infants are curly, sleepy, flexible, moldable, and able to be posed in those oh-so-darling images you see via our Houston Newborn Photography Portfolio page. Adding your due date to the calendar gives you instant access to the scheduling options once your baby is born. You are most likely to have your preferred date and time not to miss the fleeting newborn window. The weekend dates are also highly sought after, o keep this in mind, too!

The best time to add your due date to our calendar is when you’re either in the second or third trimester. Your due date is simply an estimation for when the Baby is expected to arrive. Some little ones are early, late, and even right on time. No matter when your cherub is earthside, you already have access to the calendar.

• Package pricing is upfront and eareadilyvailable to you to make things simple for new parents! The studio's focus is selling full-resolution digital files, along with a print release. There are no in-person sales appointments, minimum print orders, or separate session fees. One rate pays for your entire session from start to finish. However, professional prints and products are available for purchase as a perk to parents seeking the highest quality.

• 14Fourteenays after your session, you receive a private online proofing gallery showcasing the best images from our time together! Parents select the number of portraits that come in the chosen package. At that time, those selections are fully and professionally edited. They’re polished up and ready for you to print, share online, and treasure forever!

• The chosen images are delivered three days later via instant digital download. A print release is also included. You may print your photos as many times or large as you would like forever.

• Sessions are available seven days per week in the studio between 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., M-F, and 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The standard turnaround for proofing galleries is 14 days, year-round.

• Motherhood wardrobe is included for all sessions.

• The studio is fully vaccinated and insured to provide newborn safety for our most petite clients, such as Tdap, MMR, and the yearly flu vaccine.

• Sarah Borchgrevink Photography is centrally located in the Uptown/River Oaks area of Houston.

• Sarah and Kevin are a full-time husband and wife team dedicated to offering a wonderful experience for new parents.

After adding your due date to the calendar:

·         As soon as Baby is here, please select your preferred date/time/package from the scheduling link below. The sooner you pick your date, the more likely you are to have your preferred session date and time.

·         The scheduling calendar will have you fill out a styling questionnaire so you can answer helpful questions about Baby, share colors you like or dislike, and also anything you’d like me to know in advance.

·         Upon selecting your date and time, your posed newborn prep guide PDF is sent to your preferred e-mail address. The guide is a helpful and recommended list of instructions to ensure we have a great session together!

·         I would like to see you in the first 14 days of life, preferably at 5-9 days new, if possible.

·         When picking your appointment time, ignore the portion about signing a contract/deposit as you've already done this in advance.

 Babies are often early or late, so no worries if this happens.

Good morning, friends! Today’s blog post is a formal announcement sharing information about the new studio that is available as of May 2019! Here’s everything you need to know about the new office space!

Centrally Located inside the 610 Loop

I am absolutely thrilled to share information about the new location for Sarah Borchgrevink Photography! As a professional portrait artist, I am moving my office and work space to a central area in Houston called Uptown. This is located off San Felipe and 610.

The address is the following:

Dream Photography Studio | Floor Plan Overview

Below is a floor plan attached of the new space and the plans that are currently in place. The studio space is a 1,300 square foot office located inside of a commercial office building. The space is being fully renovated and remodeled to fit my timeless, classic, and vintage-inspired style of photography. This space is a complete dream and everything a professional baby photographer could ever want!

The studio is ideally located in the prestigious Post Oak Park near the Galleria, Williams Tower, Greenway Plaza, Texas Medical Center, Museum District, West University, Rice Village, Downtown Houston, Montrose, Upper Kirby, and the Heights.

Studio features:

Inside the studio you will find the perfect floor plan for amazing baby photography and a wonderful experience for new parents. The studio features the following:

• A lobby and reception area so parents have a comfortable place to wait. There are also snacks, of course, and a coffee bar. Inside this lobby area you’ll also find a playroom for young children to hang out in whilst their sibling is being photographed.

• The mothers lounge is designed for the comfort of new mothers. This is a nursing, feeding, or resting room so you may feed your baby, in comfort and peace, before and after your session. I do have four young children myself and recognize that feeding Baby is a huge part of your day. This mothers room will allow you to relax and to leave your session so Baby has a full tummy for the car ride home.

• The prop room has anything you could ever want for accessories! Inside my prop room, which is labeled storage, you will find a huge array of props, perfectly organized. Here is where I will keep my hundreds of props such as buckets, bowls, baskets, wooden bowls, newborn antique beds, hats, bonnets, headbands, wraps, textiles, backdrops, and more!

• The all white lifestyle room for family, child, or maternity sessions. This room is going to feature a big white bed, white couch, and have beautiful flooring, crown molding, and floor to ceiling light to make for the dreamiest of sessions. This can be used for little sitter sessions, baby milestones, and even family photos during your newborn session. This room will focus on capturing families naturally and with connections.

• The posed newborn room featuring backdrops, three custom wood walls, and comfortable seating for you during your time in studio. This room is about 500 square feet, within itself, and will have the same look at my current studio. This means I’ll be keeping the three rustic wood walls my husband, Kevin, designed for me as well as all of the seamless paper backdrops. Everything will be set up in advance for your session for a seamless experience.

Amenities:

The building has monitored security, ample surface parking plus controlled access to garage covered parking, as well as a deli downstairs.

Online Booking Available

A new feature that has recently been implemented is online booking for your sessions. This is how you seamlessly sign your contract, pay your deposit, and then select your session date & time from a calendar. This is designed for busy parents who like simplicity.
