Ah, a brand new baby. There's few things as special. As a Houston Newborn & Family Photographer, I specialize in all things squishy baby and family milestones. I adore working with my most petite clients; wrapping them lovingly and showcasing all the beauty of a fresh new baby. Curly poses, macro images of lips, eyes, profile shots, etc. - these are all the smallest of details you will forever treasure. 

For my time with this handsome baby boy, I designed a newborn session reflecting his mama's favorite colors: soft blue and grey hues; a little tan, and also rustic wooden floors. His posing is truly laid back to set an organic tone though also show the curly nature of a newborn.

I cannot help but marvel at his full head of hair! He is simply perfect.

It's that time of the year when outdoor family photography is in full swing. The weather is great (at least for Houston), the light is ethereal, and everyone is gearing up for lovely holiday cards. This in mind, I've had the honor of working with many families this season. As a Houston TX Photographer, this makes my heart sing. Meeting your little ones, hanging out with you, and designing sessions reflecting connection based posing are the heart of my work. I like you to relax. Enjoy yourself. Be who you are. For my time with this sweet family, we used a popular location in Cypress. Their outfits match perfectly with the classic, warm background. The tall trees filter the light ever so softly to give a golden hue. 

My photography philosophy keeps our time together simple and easy. No stress. I give plenty of direction. While it's nice to have some traditional images mixed in, the ones of everyone smiling and looking at the camera, your gallery also looks fantastic when there is more candid, lifestyle set ups. Interacting with your little ones or spouse is a great way to show who you are. These are things you'll want to remember; the way you baby fits on your hip or the weight of your child on your shoulders. Family portrait photography is not about everything looking perfect. It's about preserving a time in your life. Your children are small and there will be a time in the not so distant future where you long to hear their little feet pitter patter down the hall or hear them say, "mama." There's nothing like that, you know - them being small and ever so purposeful in all that they do. When working with you, I keep these things in mind. Parents entrusting me to photograph this time in their lives is the heart of why family portraits are an honor to document.

Good afternoon! I'm excited you're here to see one of the latest sessions I've documented. As a Houston photographer, few things make my heart sing like a fun, laid back family and a hip location. For instance, for my time with this sweet bunch, I have to begin by thanking them. They've been with me since the beginning of my photography journey and have stood by me throughout these years. Without my clients I am nothing. I am always humbled when a client returns for a session though this also makes for a super fun time together since I already know your little ones. 

All of my outdoor family sessions take place in neat locations with lovely scenery. This location, for example, is in downtown Houston. We met up bright and early in the morning, just as the sun was coming up. The little ones were so precious as they played with their parents. We explored the area, checked out all the walking trails and nature, too.
