A lifestyle newborn session is a wonderful and laid back experience for your new baby and family! I delight in photographing these sessions because they lend a natural tone. The session is based around the emotions surrounding the birth of your most precious little one and the unconditional bonds parents feel as they embrace their new role. For my time with this sweet family, the session took place in their bedroom utilizing ethereal natural light. I opened the blinds, placed Baby on the bed, and enjoyed documenting all his newborn details for his tiny toes, chubby legs, darling red hair and all that is pure about a fresh, new baby.

He is simply beautiful. He also made eye contact with me which is rare for a newborn baby. My favorite part of his session is him simply being as he is. While posed newborn photography is fine art, lifestyle newborn portraits are more organic and family based. You will treasure these precious images for years. You'll look back and hold the portraits and lovingly gaze at them.

Ahhhh! A beautiful family session is on the 'ol blog this afternoon. Few things make me swoon more than ethereal light and an adorable baby girl. This sweet family's session is lovely as can be! The location, light, outfits and posing are truly gorgeous because they all coordinate well together. 

For all my sessions, they take place in a Houston location, typically outdoors and on location. I use the sun the provide dynamic light in your portraits. This family, for instance, chose a location in Cypress which features greenery and a natural setting. Their baby girl is also 6 months old so in addition to updated family portraits we also did milestone images for baby to show off how she is now sitting up. Here are my favorite images from their session. It was hard to narrow them down but these most shine.
