Happy Friday! There's always something wonderful about a Friday and the promise of a fun filled weekend. However, if you're a photographer like me, you may be looking forward to beautiful, golden sessions or perhaps home lifestyle work. Regardless, I'm thrilled to present one of the latest squishy new cherubs I've had the honor of documenting. 

Let's start with his absolutely stunning mama and her outdoor maternity session. I always like previewing Mom's baby bump when I blog the actual newborn session. One of my favorite aspects is seeing the ever so purposeful and perfect human being. I adore everything about my time with Mom and her bump. The warmth and connected posing; the timeless location, the blue styling representing the gender of their sweet babe - the list goes on.

Now that you've seen how radiant Mom is, I'd love to show you baby K. He is perfectly handsome and I adored my time with him! For his newborn portraits, I designed a session that reflected neutral tones though also added eclectic pieces such as an antique Coca Cola wagon, hand made teddy bear bonnet, and custom wraps to adorn baby. 

Mom and Dad also had a special request so of course I always accommodate. Baby K's nursery is decorated in Toy Store theme and so my assistant and I set this up to reflect Mom's favorite characters. Buzz Light Year is awesome but I'm partial to Woody, haha! 

Many thanks to this wonderful family for having me in your beautiful home. I've truly enjoyed getting to know you and working together! Baby K is precious and you're so blessed. I know you're completely in love with your baby boy. I can't wait to see you again for a sitting up session or perhaps another fun milestone. :-)

Children's Photographer in Cypress, Spring and Tomball Texas: Emma Plays Dress Up

As a Houston photographer, I specialize in documenting the milestones of newborn babies, pregnancy, kiddos and of course families. It's a wonderful, rewarding career and I truly enjoy my time with clients and even the business side of things. However, every once and awhile it's great to have a personal project and photograph something that inspires you. As a mama, my little ones are what started my photography journey. Little did I know a hobby would develop into a business. Because of this, I occasionally crave returning to my roots. My eldest, Emma, is who made me a mother. My photographs of her childhood are near and dear to me - they're my love letters to her. They're how I see her.

Recently, a photographer friend asked if I'd like to have a camera play date in which we photograph our little ones in beautiful dresses, crowns, and accessories. I normally keep my photos as simple as possible so that the child is the center of the image, but I also acknowledge how much Emma would enjoy playing dress up and embracing the Inner Princess within her. 

In these images, I can see Emma's confidence. She feels beautiful and was thrilled to take photos. Normally I utilize a more lifestyle and documentary feel to her images since I don't like to make her feel pressured with a large DSLR in her face. However, thanks to my photography pal providing the gorgeous gowns and styling, Emma really had a great time and it was a fun way to spend time with her. I hope to one day even share photography with her.

Later on, other photographers joined us! I admit to being a little star struck! Their little ones, K and J, also posed with Emma and we all took turns working with the girls. Each little girl has her own look and shines. They're all beautiful!

Darling Red Headed Little Girls | Fall Family Photography in Houston, TX

Cypress Texas Family Photographer: The T Family

Oh, my goodness! I've been looking forward to blogging this family because the little ones are just so stinking cute! You may know I have *three* little girls who are red headed so anytime I meet other kiddos sporting ginger locks it makes me so excited! I have a special spot in my heart for little ones. 

For their family portraits, I had them meet me at a beautiful spot in Cypress, TX in the Townelakes neighborhood. This location is fantastic as it boasts beautiful evening and morning light. However, the clouds were out for their session but no worries - we still had fun.

For the posing, I always like the photos to show off family connections. This can be your little one holding your hands, Mom tenderly holding baby, a little one laughing, tickles or everyone just enjoying one another's company. Each family is different and it's important for me to pose you as you are; to let your personality shine through and embrace your little ones being where they are in life. 

Their two little girls are so beautiful! I love the clouds behind them and the soft light on the water. Moreover, the trees even have a slight "fall" color to them - wow! That's saying a lot for Texas, ha! 

I truly enjoyed my time with this sweet bunch and it's always great meeting a new family! I'd love to have yours on my calendar and work together to preserve your own special moments.
