Father & Daughter Fall Photography Session | Cypress TX Family Photographer {77429, 77095, 77065, 77433}

Good morning! Happy Friday, y'all! Today I am gearing up for a lot of great things. (1) I have three family sessions this evening and we're going to try to dodge the rain, (2) I have a squishy newborn tomorrow whom I am styling things for and prepping, (3) Halloween will be exciting, and (4) I have 8 sessions Sunday - so I am really looking forward to documenting your beautiful family milestones.

This morning, however, I am blogging a family session that is specifically geared as a father/daughter session. Dad is so sweet and he planned a lovely session to highlight the love between him and his pre-teen daughter, Sophia. I had the pair meet me in Cypress for a morning session at Telge Park. The following are some of my favorite images, and I'm thrilled I was able to preserve and honor their love. This has inspired me to perhaps plan a daddy/daughter session for my own little ones, too! 

At the end of the session, I spent a little one on one time with Soph. We had a great time! She has such a fun spirit and I enjoyed chatting with her.

Cute Family of Four Soon to be Five | Family and Maternity Shoot

Good evening! While I normally do all my blogging, M-F, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (as I keep very strict business hours), I am catching up on today's blog post. This week my internet stopped working three days in a row and now that it's up and working again, I can play catch up. :-) As a Houston photographer, I enjoy previewing all your beautiful sessions. It's a fun way to preview the highlights, share my favorite details, and of course encourage clients to share their own post highlight their family.

The M family is an absolute delight! I had them meet me in Cypress, TX - it's a suburb of Houston and located in the northwest part of the city near 290 and 249. We used Telge Park as it has beautiful sunrise light. I really enjoyed working with this sweet bunch! Thank you for having me document your 2015 Fall Family Session! I hope to work with you again in the future!

After the family portion, I always break everyone up into smaller groups so we have your session act as fine art and cohesive collection. :-) Essentially, we want each image to have a place on your wall and to be succinct. Isn't Mom gorgeous? Keep reading to see all the cute photos of her and her bump! 

After the kiddos pose with Mom and Dad, we then move onto individual portraits and of course sibling photos. 

And then, we focused on Mom and her beautiful bump!

Family is everything | Gorgeous Outdoor Portraits at Sunrise

Good morning! This morning, I am gearing up to do some blogging, but I am also sending out e-mails, invoices, contracts, and of course keeping a strict eye on the weather as this upcoming weekend is filled with many family and child photography sessions. However, enough business: let's get down to why you're really here - to see a beautiful family who happens to be some of my favorite people!

I'm thrilled to have photographed the H family; they're some of our very close family friends and our little ones have had many fun adventures together. You know that friend you call when you're lonely but don't want to go grocery shopping alone? Yup - we call one another! Or maybe if the kiddos are at school and you want someone to sit and fold laundry with you, chat about a good book, or just visit the park on a sunny days. We even spend holidays together and birthdays. When I have Amelia, this is who I'll be calling to stay with my babies and one of the first people I told about our pregnancy.  Whether we're bbqing, shopping, having coffee, or even just meeting up for lunch it's always a great time. So this in mind, I'm sure you can guess I worked super hard on this session because I wanted it to be absolutely perfect from the light, to location, to outfits, to posing, ect - nothing less than beautiful would suffice. 

For their natural light and outdoor session, I had the H family meet me in beautiful Cypress, a suburb of Houston, at Telge Park for a sunrise session complete with stunning morning light, connected posing, and a gorgeous color scheme (Mom and I agonized over the colors and spend a lot of time putting them together). Here are my favorite images - and I must say narrowing down our favorites for wall art took some time. We ended up doing framed images on archival deep matte print to show off the creamy background; 16x20 was our favorite size but several 11x14 are on the walls, too. We also designed an adorable holiday card so that was a fun project, too! This  seriously one of my favorite 2015 fall sessions.

On a gear related note I often receive e-mails in which others ask the lenses I use. This session was photographed using a Canon 6d, 135 mm f/2L lens and a 200 mm f/2.8L lens. This is where all the gorgeous background compression comes from - the lenses which are worth every cent!

And then, of course, we had to give Elizabeth her own time to shine! Isn't she precious? We told her to simply dance and enjoy herself. She is so sassy and fierce!
