Oh, my goodness! There are few things more lovely than a brand new baby. In fact, I cannot even think of a single one, ha! This is because a newborn represents the hopes and dreams one has for their family. It's suddenly not just the two of your anymore and your heart is flooded with unconditional love. This tiny little cherub changes everything - and yes, it's in the best of ways. 

For this family, it's their first baby so the focus of the session is simply the three of them being together, their happiness overflowing, and the joy surrounding all the excitement of meeting your first child. Baby is just under two weeks old here. He's wearing a simple set of pajamas; the perfect attire for lifestyle images.

As a Houston Newborn photographer, I love spending time with your family! Coming to your home and documenting a baby and your interactions with your new bundle of joy is awe inspiring. Lifestyle sessions, in particular, are special because each session is unique to the family's dynamic. The light, the nursery, the snuggles - it's all you! 

His nursery is lovely! This couple utilized a duck hunting theme to reflect a hobby of theirs; there is everything from soft green walls, rustic furniture, classic wall art, and then small nuances like the duck caller - the perfect balance of trendy meets classic.

In home lifestyle newborn sessions are super laid back. The photography experience should be seamless, especially for new parents. I come to your home, we chat, you introduce me to baby, and show me around your house. Typically the newborn session takes place in your nursery; then I give you all the direction and guidance you need to ensure you're comfortable and have a fun experience. 

And his hair. Oh my! His hair is the absolute best. His sweet little face has so much character.

Little girls! There's nothing like being a mama to them! As a Houston Children's Photographer, and mama, I have my own kiddos. We jokingly call them The Tiny Tribe of Wild Women. This in mind, I adore working with little ones!

For this session, Mom specifically requested child only photos. I do offer a package catering to children only called my "fresh" collection, whereas family portraiture is called "simple" collection. I keep the pricing really simple so that it's easy for you to select and you can book with confidence. All of my sessions proudly offer an inclusive session fee; this means my time, talent, session design, gallery preparation, and a certain number (typically 15) digital downloads are included in your fee. 

Child sessions are super fun and laid back. Baby plays and classic props, such as a quilt or bucket, allow baby to shine but also provide somewhere for baby to sit or stand against. I do like there to be as few props as possible so they do not detract from your baby's perfect features, precious personality, or spirited self.

These sweet sisters are simply stunning! The golden light cascades downwards and fills the background with rays of sun. The soft light is perfect for a photo-shoot. You're also presented with a lovely gallery showcasing the best images from your session. They're artistically and cohesively retouched so they act as a fine art piece in your home. They also act as a collection to ensure they look nice together as they grace your home.

A brand new baby girl! Let's all take a moment to sigh; her cuteness, her soft baby features - they're simply stunning. Please allow me to introduce this petite princess to you! Her session represents all things girly and feminine; the color scheme reflects a few of my favorite tones such as blush, cream, white, and lace. Through organic posing mimicking the womb, this precious little love is showcased.

Newborn Portraiture should feel authentic. Seeing the images should give you a feeling of happiness as you witness the ethereal beauty of a brand new baby. This in mind, all of my sessions are about baby; by removing distracting props I show your baby for who she is. Her fingers. Her toes. Her tufts of hair; her lashes, and creamy skin, and her curly nature. 

Big yawn! This is when Baby settles into the session. I adore capturing images in which baby is stretching, yawning, or searching for nourishment; this is when baby is most part of the world. Do not worry - all of my newborn sessions provide plenty of time for changing, nursing, wrapping, cuddling and caring for baby to ensure she has a positive experience. 

An antique wash bucket is the perfect prop! It's a timeless color but also can be styled for either a baby boy or girl. This sweet girl is only 5 pounds so I placed her ever so softly upon the textiles and let her sleep. She did want to hang out and party, which is never a problem. It just means we give her the time she needs to soothe and fall asleep so we may pose her beautifully.

The vintage cradle is a fantastic floor prop, too! I love the rich tones; it pairs well with neutrals or color, which makes it quite versatile.
