A Year In Review:

Personal Favorites From 2015

Good morning! I have been working on this blog post for about 5 days and I must say I am slightly behind. With a newborn, toddler and a 5 year old who is home for the holiday break, I've had my hands full. However, I'm back at my desk and am excited to preview some of my favorite images and sessions from 2015.

However, before doing that I'd like to begin by saying thank you. Thank you to the clients who have supported me throughout my photography journey. I appreciate your loyalty and business as I've grown and figured out the murky waters of running a full time business. Moreover, thank you for your words of encouragement. Often times, simply saying something kind to your photographer truly makes our day. These compliments often come when we need to hear them most, when I may be feeling defeated. Thank you for trusting me to document your little ones, your beautiful baby bumps, your family milestones, your pregnancy announcements, and your tiny, precious newborns. It's been a blessing!

And with that, I present some of my favorite images from the 2015 fiscal year. Narrowing these down took some time, and I hope you enjoy!

I have been photographing Z since she was in her mama's tummy and we announced the pregnancy. I have not yet blogged her session (as it recently took place) but her golden hour and outdoor session was simple yet showcased stunning evening light.

Baby M is so sweet and precious! His custom newborn session is simple and really embodies the stillness of a newborn.

I have not blogged Amelia's newborn photos yet as she was just born, but we added a third redhead to my gaggle of girls this year!

Good morning, y'all! I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your day! The new year is almost upon us and I am looking forward to 2016. However, before we blog those sessions I'd love to preview my latest maternity session I had the honor of documenting.

Maternity sessions, especially natural light and outdoors, are some of my favorite to photograph. This is because there is a great deal of excitement as you prepare to meet your baby. There is also a little bit of magic that occurs; Mom is glowing - your bump is beautiful and Dad is often thrilled to be part of the session. You will never regret booking a custom maternity session because it will preserve and honor a time in your life where you felt your baby kicking, you imagine his or her little face, and many hours are spent wondering how the weight of Baby will feel in your arms.

For the B family, I had Mom and Dad meet me in Coles Crossing, a large neighborhood located within Cypress, TX - a suburb of Northwest Houston. I like this location because it has beautiful evening light and boasts lovely scenery, a rustic and classic bridge, and walking trails. It's also expansive so we never run out of room. There is even a dock overlooking the water which is lovely for any type of session, too. Because of this, I designed the session so it showed off Mom's bump as well as the beautiful love between Mom and Dad.

The following are some of the images from their session! We had so much fun and their newborn session has since been documented so stay tuned for that post. :-) Their baby is so so so so handsome and I cannot wait to show off his tiny toes and sweet face.
