Guess Who's Having a Boy? The K Family & Their Sunkissed Maternity Shoot

Howdy, folks! Today is a beautiful day and I’m looking forward to a weekend full of stunning, natural light photography sessions. First up, however, is the latest maternity session I had the honor of documenting. The K family could not be sweeter and Mom is the perfect epitome of pregnancy: her baby bump is radiant, and Dad is in absolute love! This is a winning combination and made for a fun session. Outdoor Family Portraits by Sarah Borchgrevink | Cutest Family in Houston

This morning I am previewing an outdoor, natural light family session. The L family is always wonderful to work with because their two little boys, A and J, are sweet as apple pie! I initially met them last year for their maternity session, and later on photographed J’s newborn photos. Now he’s a little toddler so we met at a local Cypress park for a fun family session with an emphasis on child photos for the kiddos. This park is lovely because it’s in a great location. There are trees, paths, and even a playground. I also like that it’s in Cypress so it’s not a far drive for clients. The following images are some of my favorite from their session. The little boys are handsome, huh? Mom also did a wonderful job dressing them and coordinating colors! While I do provide wardrobe advice, I like when you wear outfits that represent who you are. This is a perfect example of timeless and classic wear that still fashionable yet resonates well over the years.

Penny's 3 Month Milestone Session | Baby Plan Membership with Sarah

Oh, my goodness. Miss Penny is too cute! When it comes to working as a photographer, I truly enjoy meeting your families and seeing you grow. This session is no exception.  I had the honor of photographing Mom’s maternity session during beautiful golden hour in Cypress – a suburb located in northwest Houston. Following this, I photographed Penny’s newborn session. She was 10 pounds of squishy goodness and an absolute dream! It’s been three months and she’s already grown and changed so much. Below are some of my favorite images from her home session. I cannot wait to see her again at 6 months and document more fun milestones! Thank you to the K family for having me.
