Oh, my goodness. Miss Penny is too cute! When it comes to working as a photographer, I truly enjoy meeting your families and seeing you grow. This session is no exception.  I had the honor of photographing Mom’s maternity session during beautiful golden hour in Cypress – a suburb located in northwest Houston. Following this, I photographed Penny’s newborn session. She was 10 pounds of squishy goodness and an absolute dream! It’s been three months and she’s already grown and changed so much. Below are some of my favorite images from her home session. I cannot wait to see her again at 6 months and document more fun milestones! Thank you to the K family for having me. Natural Light Nursing Photography in Houston Texas | Cherish the Bond

As a mommy to two small children, I know how important each and every milestone is. I know the joy of seeing baby’s first step; I’ve reveled in hearing my little ones say their first word, or perhaps trying a new activity for the first time. However, as much as I love celebrating my children and their developmental achievements, I also am usually the one behind the camera. Why is this? I find myself hesitating to hop into photos as I’m generally worried about my appearance or I always think, “There will be time later.”

But as mothers, we know this isn’t the case. Every moment is fleeting. Every second develops into a new milestone, a new part of your little one’s ever changing life. Before you’ve blinked an eye, your snuggly newborn is a mighty toddler, taking on the World of the Playground, forging their own path. It can be a little overwhelming at times!

Because of this, I am proud to offer breastfeeding sessions to all my clients. It’s a way to celebrate your nursing journey, to document the incredible bond and love between mother and child. It’s a way to preserve this relationship. I am honored to offer nursing sessions because I know, from personal experience, how quickly time moves, and how sometimes we feel there is always more time, but somehow life takes precedent and before you know it, it’s gone.

Howdy, y’all!

You may have noticed a trend this week: I’ve been doing a blog post every morning in order to catch up. I hope I am not bombarding you too much; I have been so busy photographing newborns, families, baby bumps and little toddlers that I like to blog when I have a free moment. Moreover, I enjoy sharing my favorite images with you and writing about the highlights from the session. This morning, however, I am previewing a recent outdoor and natural light family session. While I did blog their newborn son just last week, they came back for a family session to show off the entire family. What a treat for me! You can view their squishy newborn here.

We opted for a golden hour session with warm, beautiful light in Cypress, TX. I had them meet me at a favorite location within Coles Crossing. It’s easy to find, has nice parking, and even a play area for kiddos! Sounds perfect to me. The following are my favorite images from their session. I did my best to narrow them down.
