As a photographer, one who photographs many newborns, I like to offer both lifestyle and posed newborn portraiture sessions so clients may best choose the session that fits their preferences. For instance, posed newborn sessions are precious in their own way; we place baby on beanbags with posing fabric and adorn him or her with custom props. We also utilize items such as buckets, wooden crates, or antique drawers or even hat boxes! The options are endless and leave a fine art impression. However, as a mama myself, I like to offer lifestyle sessions because they have an organic feel to them. These are the moments you think you’ll remember, but they often become fuzzy overtime. These images will bring you back to a time where your baby represents hope, fulfillment, and the scent of their head could make your heart burst with pride. This is your husband singing a lullaby, your mother’s eyes brimming with tears as she meets your bundle of joy; you designing the nursery and spending an afternoon picking out color swabs to perfection.

In the beginning of each session, I take a few quiet moments to observe you and your baby. I do not like to "force" anything, but instead I take a step back and enjoy your connection. I like to highlight the silence that says everything words cannot. Mom is stunning and has stepped into the role of nurturer with grace and beauty.
Silhouette shots bring an artistic viewpoint to your gallery and also highlight elements in your nursery such as hand sewn drapes. The window frames you and baby.
During all of my lifestyle sessions, I like to show off the nursery. It's a special place you dreamed of - and I adore seeing everything you've done! I'm sure you spent countless hours in here, hand on your belly, smile upon your face, dreaming of the moment you'd hold your baby. You imagined her smell, felt the weight of her in your arms, and never knew your heart could be so full. That is true unconditional love.
I also welcome you to include grandparents in your home lifestyle session, too. They're a wonderful addition to the images and make for timeless, heirloom gifts for family.
Dad is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, so we had to use their game room, too!
