Nursing Photography Sessions | Cypress, Tomball and Katy Photographer

As a mommy to two small children, I know how important each and every milestone is. I know the joy of seeing baby’s first step; I’ve reveled in hearing my little ones say their first word, or perhaps trying a new activity for the first time. However, as much as I love celebrating my children and their developmental achievements, I also am usually the one behind the camera. Why is this? I find myself hesitating to hop into photos as I’m generally worried about my appearance or I always think, “There will be time later.”

But as mothers, we know this isn’t the case. Every moment is fleeting. Every second develops into a new milestone, a new part of your little one’s ever changing life. Before you’ve blinked an eye, your snuggly newborn is a mighty toddler, taking on the World of the Playground, forging their own path. It can be a little overwhelming at times!

Because of this, I am proud to offer breastfeeding sessions to all my clients. It’s a way to celebrate your nursing journey, to document the incredible bond and love between mother and child. It’s a way to preserve this relationship. I am honored to offer nursing sessions because I know, from personal experience, how quickly time moves, and how sometimes we feel there is always more time, but somehow life takes precedent and before you know it, it’s gone.

I’d love to introduce T to you, a local mom who I had the pleasure of working with. Her little love is 16 months and is beautiful! I had them meet me in a local neighborhood known as Coles Crossing, located in Cypress. The session took place during golden hour - my favorite time of the day.

I’d love to introduce Brittany to you, a local mom who I had the pleasure of working with. Her little man is named DJ and he is so handsome! We met at a park located in a suburb of Houston, known as The Woodlands for a quick golden hour session. While the sun did not come out for our images, I am still very happy to present some of my favorites from the session. My goal is for the session to be very relaxed and for the final images to be tasteful, highlighting the relationship between mom and baby.

When I asked Brittany her favorite part of her relationship with her son, DJ, she replied, "The most special part to me is knowing that I'm giving my baby the thing that is closest to nature and best for his body as it's made for him. The look in his eyes says it all when he's nursing." 

Afterwards, we did a few single portraits of DJ since he was all smiles and excited to show off his newly found walking skills! His smile is contagious! Audrey's Bridal Shower @ Black's Market Table | Cypress, TX Event Photographer

Tucked away in Cypress is Black's Market Table, a rustic new American restaurant boasting creative dishes, a beautiful atmosphere complete with floor to ceiling windows, gorgeous floors, and styling full of fresh and ambient nuances. It's a pleasant surprise that you may not normally find in the suburbs. The farm to table mentality is a wonderful addition and as a consumer, you can feel good about supporting local farmers and growers. Because of this, Black's Market Table is the perfect venue and I cannot recommend the atmosphere enough! 

When Andie, Audrey's older sister, contacted me to request I photograph Audrey's upcoming bridal shower, I was thrilled to be part of their event. In the past, I've photographed events for their family, such as a surprise anniversary party. Andie is an excellent party planner and has every detail down perfectly; each item echoing love and tender care and thoughtfulness.
