Howdy! Good morning to you! Thanks for stopping by to see one of the latest adorable newborn sessions I had the honor of documenting. As a Houston Baby Photographer, I delight in photographing all things squishy newborn and of course your family photos. My all white and beautiful studio is located in NW Houston with easy access to all major highways. I'm about 20 minutes outside of the 610 loop, too.

However, enough about me! Let's chat about this absolutely beautiful family and their precious baby girl! When she came to my studio, she was 7 days new. Barely 6 pounds and the most soulful little eyes. When rocking her to sleep and getting her wrapped for the family portion, I kept telling Mom just how unique she is! Baby was ready to party in the beginning (haha) but I never have any worries about alert newborns. I pride myself on spending all the needed time and allowing plenty of time for nursing, diaper changes, soothing, and letting baby get into a nice, deep sleep.

When booking, Mom relayed she really likes spring colors! This in mind, yellow, lavender, and cream were used quite frequently during the posed newborn session. However, we also used a deep, vibrant violet as I adore all things rich in color. Color makes my heart sing and while muted color schemes can lend a classic look, the vibrant colors add a soulful touch to your images. 

My favorite part of my studio is the white light that surrounds you during your family photos. 

After family, we moved immediately into the sweet baby girl's individual portion. Here are some of my favorite images from my time with her. Lots of lavender, purple, cream, yellow, and rustic floor props were used! I must admit: I love to shop for antique and vintage props just for your baby!

As you may have noticed, I have a succint focus on wrapping babies. The reason I love to wrap babies is because the wrapping reflect their womblike state; this shows how they grew inside you, keeps the baby happy, and also adds a lot of texture and interest to your portraits. It also allows me to try new, creative things with your baby such as color combination, posing, and always having a brand new, custom prop on hand to ensure your photos are truly unique. For each baby who comes to my studio, I strive to have a new combination. Thankfully, I have so many props and am always adding to my prop collection, so I never run out of options for you.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Friday! Today in Houston, it's an absolutely gorgeous day and I am looking forward to a fantastic weekend full of beautiful sessions! As a Houston TX Photographer, I specialize in family and newborn photography. I offer gorgeous outdoor family portraits and also in studio newborn photography. My studio is based in Cypress, which is located in NW Houston. However, I do serve the entire Houston region and am excited to offer lovely collections to all my Houston families. Today, for example, I am previewing a breathtaking posed newborn session for beautiful Asher. When his sweet parents visited my all white, organic studio he was 8 days new. 7 pounds of beautiful newborn goodness and a gorgeous head full of hair! The minute he walked in, I kept swooning and telling his mama how lucky she is to have this stunning baby boy!

All of my luxury collections include both professional prints & products as well as digital files. They also include parent images, as well as family/sibling should you be interested in having these as part of your collection. Then, I style you baby's session. I provide everything but the baby. The nice thing is, you show up to my studio, your session is ready to go, and I immediately begin working on soothing baby, wrapping baby, feeding, burping and allowing for plenty of time. My sessions are generally 2-4 hours long. 

For Asher, we did a huge variety! I love burgundy and maroon tones; rust is also an awesome color too! In fact, I am moving away from neutrals and would like to mainly offer color because color is what sets your images apart. While traditional colors such as white and cream can feel like a good choice, for your baby's individual portion I like to do new, exciting and soulful combinations. As a portrait artist, I think about how these images will look in your home and nothing makes me more happy than you to have a completely unique and custom session. I am constantly buying new props and items for my studio.

This vintage egg basket is a wonderful option because it can be styled to be either masculine or feminine; in this case, a vibrant army green and a seafoam were used to show off baby's stunning skin tone and also to add texture, interest, and a pop of color.

This is one of my favorite buckets to use! Baby is snuggle so sweetly. 

Bean bag posing is a really neat part of the session because this is where I mold baby into art pieces. Parents often ask why the sessions take place in the first 14 days of life; this is to ensure baby is curly and fresh! When they're growing in your womb, baby is typically curled up, head down, and has their feet by the face. This posing allows us to reflect this special time in which your baby grew; it shows off the curly nature of newborns and all their special characterstics. 

Basically, I adore all things newborn photography and cannot express how much I feel this in my soul!!!

Greetings and good morning to you! Welcome to my blog! As a Houston TX Portrait Photographer, I offer a variety of session types such as family, baby, child and newborn. However, I also enjoy coming to your home! For instance, for the lovely family featured today, we chose to do an in home session focusing on their nursery. You see, they are baby plan clients of mine which means they have a membership to my photography services; I photographed their outdoor, natural light maternity session, posed newborn session and today's post shows a few set ups from their in home, lifestyle session for 6 months! I'll also be seeing them again for a 12 month milestone portrait session so that will be a blast.

When photographing a client in their home, I find a room with nice light. The nursery is always a beautiful option because it's the perfect little nest to show your baby's milestones such as standing, crawling, pulling up, rolling, and all their adorable little details such as chubby hands, precious little cheeks, sparking eyes, and their endearing personalities. Little ones are absolutely a joy to document. Seeing them laugh, smile, and interact with the camera is truly rewarding because, as a portraiture artist, I am preserving this incredibly special time in your life. You're not taking these photos for yourself: they're for your children. They see, from the very beginning, all the important aspect of their life. It's a way to honor these milestones.

Dixon, their boxer and beloved pet, also participated in the session! He was also there during our maternity & newborn portion so it's only natural he be included. Pets are certainly part of the family so I always look forward to seeing them again. I distinctly remember how he was super protective of baby when I did their newborn session and even during the 6 month session he tentatively watched me, never leaving my side. He is her best friend!
