Sometimes when I meet your precious babies and spend the morning documenting them, mothers will ask me what makes me love newborn photography quite so much. Where do I begin? From their curly nature, soft feet, squishy fat rolls, sweet little noises, their smell, and the cozy feeling of holding a new life in your arms...I could just go on and on. And as a Houston Newborn Photographer, I keep these things in mind when photographing your little one.
For example, for Baby Landon, I met him at 11 days fresh and new. While he did make me work exceptionally hard, he is beautiful and I'm very pleased with his images. He loved being wrapped and there were moments, once asleep, he simply snored and made little kitten noises in his sleep. PURE JOY. Newborn photography is what makes my heart happy. And parents deserve that: they deserve someone who is indubitably in love with the genre their photographing.
For my time with him, we focused on using some holiday colors, as he is a December baby. Fir green and burgundy with cream accent make for a timeless portraiture session.
