Howdy to you! Thanks for coming to see one of the latest sessions I'm working on. You see, my name is Sarah and I'm a Houston photographer. I generally work in outdoor, on location spots, such as this gorgeous field seen below, though I also offer a beautiful studio for your portraiture needs, too! However, I am rambling! Please allow me to introduce this incredibly sweet family I had the honor of documenting! Here are my favorite images from their session!
For my time with the sweet B family, we met in Cypress, a suburb located just Northwest of Houston. I like this location because not only is the light perfect in both morning or evening, it has a winter feel to it so it's perfect for those January sessions or even fall (from September - December, too). We started our session just after sunrise and the sky was full of gorgeous hues such as dusky pink, soft red, and even a little apricot or purple here and there, oh my!
When photographing your family, I keep it simple. We just hang out! It's around an hour so in which we chat, I learn about your family, and we embrace your family dynamic. Each family is different, so of course each session differs, too. I've found, however, my favorite families to work with are the ones who like to have fun. I give plenty of direction and ensure you are presented in the best angle, light, and interactions with your kiddos or spouse/partner.
The one rule at my session: be yourself! I pose you in manners that reflect how you'd interact with your loved ones on a normal day, such as snuggles or playing with your little ones.
