Good morning and howdy do! Thanks for stopping by my blog on this Monday morning. If you follow my work, you may know that newborn sessions are some of my favorite. While I am constantly learning with each baby I photograph, I also delight in spending time with your family, snuggling your sweet baby, and designing the session. They're challenging but really inspiring, too. There is something holy about being with a new baby; it's a representation of all that is beautiful in the world and their presence puts me in a good mood. 

This in mind, I am previewing a sensational and precious newborn today! She is everything you could ever dream of. Her session highlights soft hues and beautiful textiles; I really enjoy hand picking items that are custom and organic. 

Baby O is simply stunning! Her full head of hair, creamy skin and soft button nose. Swoon swoon swoon! Perhaps my favorite aspect of designing the session are utilizing textiles that reflect the gentle spirit of a baby.

This is my favorite portion of my time with Miss O. Mint is lovely on her; her sweet little cheeks and full lips are perfection!

For the family portion, we just opened a window and did a lifestyle approach. I like these for their laid back atmosphere and mentality; it's all about family and connections; holding your baby - embracing this new life, thinking of your love and devotion.

Howdy, folks and thank you for stopping by my blog this morning! As a Houston photographer and mama, I delight in documenting family sessions. These are a wonderful way to showcase your family and capture a really fun dynamic. This morning I'm previewing a splendid family. For their outdoor session, I had them meet me in Cypress, where I'm currently based. We utilized a lovely location that features a winding dirt and gravel path, mature overhanging trees, and a field with lush grass. This location is ideal for portraits because it is fantastic for both morning and evening, huge bonus! However, their session took place in the evening and I enjoyed my time with them immensely.

My favorite part of their session is the spirit of their little boy, J. Toddlers are ever so purposeful and precious in all that they do! They're committed to the cause, that's for sure. Moreover, often during my time with a family, a young kiddo, such as a toddler, may enjoy exploring and being who they are. This in mind, it's important to let the child be little and not force him or her into anything. As you can see, we had fun with lots of tickles and snuggles and running. Mr. J gave me a work out but he was all smiles! I kept telling Mom how sweet he was and how he brings a smile to my heart to see his joy. Little boys!!

Mr. J had a blast during our time together! His huge smile is perfection. I also adore how mom played with him and just enjoyed her time with her sweet son. Sometimes it feels like your baby will small forever, but before you know it they're hitting a new milestone. Fun, candid photos with natural posing are my favorite aspect of designing a session because I know you will treasure these images; you'll look back on them and your little heart with soar knowing you've preserved the joy, the smiles - the authenticity of your motherhood journey.

Is there anything more ethereal than a new baby? So many lovely details surround a precious new life. While pregnant, you envision their sweet face. You imagine their soft sighs and the way their tiny hand will clutch your finger. Your heart soars and you fall completely in love with this earth angel from the moment you hear their heart beat. 

This is why I love newborn portraiture. These elements are what I think of while photographing your sweet, new baby. It's an honor and I cherish my time with you. For example, this morning I am showcasing one of the latest petite clients I had in front of my camera; baby A is everything good and beautiful in this world! 

For Baby A, I wanted the session to be soft and feminine, though to also utilize several textiles from the nursery. Mom went all out and designed a beautiful space with coral tones, creams, shimmery gold, and just an over all glamorous feel. When I walked into the nursery, I thought, "Wow! How stunning!" This in mind, the newborn session needed to reflect the time and talent Mom put into the design. While I do provide everything for your session, I always like to include special handmade items if they're available, such as the rug and textiles above.

Many of these items are from baby's nursery. I adore the precious little elephant mom created! The teddy bear is also too cute, too! 

I also adore family and sibling portraits during your session. It's a wonderful addition to your gallery and they're included, though not required if you prefer, in each newborn session. I like to to be organic and simple. We focus on family connections and bonds; it's all about holding your spouse close, snuggling your new baby, and embracing this new life.
