Good morning, y'all! Today is absolutely beautiful! I've just finished retouching an adorable cake smash session and now I'm working on today's blog post in which a lovely family is showcased. As a Houston photographer and mama, I know how important family sessions are. Everyone is finally in front of the camera. Because of this, I strive to provide a plethora of beautiful images that reflect connections. I also like to include some formally posed images for grandparents, too. 

For this sweet bunch, I photographed them out of The Woodlands in a local park. Mom specifically liked the bridge and it is close to their home, so I made the trek out from Cypress for them. :-) As you can also see, their outfits are fun! They have a spring feel to them and look both timeless and easy going. When photographing your family, I encourage you to wear attire that represents who you are; it also it nice for it not to be too formal so you can easily move around. For instance, I like to utilize standing, sitting, kneeling and walking set ups so you have a large variety in your final gallery. 

Here are some of the top images from their 2016 spring family portraits! I hope to see them again in the fall and it was especially wonderful working with them. I hope they treasure these heirloom art pieces for years to come. Oh, Amelia. Amelia Charlotte Ann Borchgrevink. You're my third baby - you carry my heart before you even knew the sound of my heartbeat. I dreamed of your face, felt your movements, and grew you for 42 weeks. And like that, you're here. 

As a Houston newborn photographer, I enjoy working with my most precious clients. However, this session showcases my newest little one - Amelia. My entire pregnancy, I thought about the type of newborn session I wanted to accomplish. I purchased beautiful textiles, organic wraps, hand crafted crowns, tie backs, and of course soft fabrics to showcase her stunning red hair. 

Upon returning home from the hospital, I began to avidly capture her. I could not wait! In fact, we did both lifestyle and posed newborn work because I have the flexibility to do many shoots with her. Here are some of my favorite images. Many are hung in my home as art pieces and I will treasure them forever! I also included some "bloopers" such as silly faces, stretches, and all the little details I'd like to remember.

Howdy! Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning. I had a wonderful weekend with my little ones and also clients. That always makes for a great Monday morning; when the past few days have been amazing there is a sense of happiness and peace as you start you week. I think of the things I'm grateful for and it makes Monday not so bad. 

However, enough about me! Let's talk about one of the recent outdoor child sessions I documented. As a Houston photographer, I currently am taking newborns, maternity, children and family sessions; because of this, many clients return to me for different milestones in their lives. For instance, I first met this lovely lass at her newborn session last year. I also photographed Mom's maternity session. Since then, we've had a great time at the 3 and 6 month session; it's only fitting I show you the 9 month milestone session, too.

As you can see, this sweet little love is beautiful! From the moment I met her, I've enjoyed every minute of my time with her. Her eyes are large and soulful; her spirit is so loving and calm. Mom and Dad are so blessed! 

I'd love to thank this sweet bunch for having me document their daughter's nine month session and their spring family portraits. It is always wonderful seeing you! I am looking forward the your 12 month cake smash!
