When it comes to photography and documenting the lives of my little ones, it's best to let them be who they are and embrace the chaos. Motherhood is thrilling, terrifying, ever so joyful and at times a little crazy...and I don't mind one single bit!

If you follow my work or occasionally check into the blog, you may know I have three little girls named Emma, Lucy and Amelia. They're all quite different and have their own personalities though one common trend runs through their DNA: They love to have fun! And as their mama, I adore documenting their childhood. I have three camera bodies often lying around my house, memory card inserted, ready to go so that throughout the day I can capture who they are. These images are my love letters to them. Ayan's First Birthday Session | Cake Smash & Splash in the Morning Light

Good morning, everyone! Thank you for stopping by my blog to view one of the latest precious little one's I had in front of my handy dandy camera. As a Houston photographer (and mama!), I know how special turning the big one is. It's where your baby is right on the edge of entering toddler-hood; they're hitting new milestones such as standing, walking, and even saying new words. A photography session is a wonderful way to celebrate this new age! For instance, all of my sessions begin at golden hour. This is when the light is most soft. While session times vary depending on Daylight Savings Time, they generally begin right as the sun rises and right when it's beginning to set. For A's outdoor first year birthday portraits, we chose a location in Cypress - a suburb of Houston Texas. It's a beautiful location featuring a winding dirt trail, over-hanging oak trees, ample parking, and warm, golden light that rises behind the subject. It's a fantastic spot for nearly any type of photography and I always enjoy shooting here!

Good morning and thank you for stopping by my blog! I'm so happy you're here and I hope you enjoy viewing one of the latest earth angel's I had in front of my camera. As a photographer, I am based in Cypress, though all newborn sessions currently take place in the comfort of your home. I enjoy photographing this incredibly special time in your life because like you, I'm a mommy and I know how fleeting the first few weeks of a new baby's life is. All their perfect details from the top of their little hairline, to toenails, chubby cheeks, bee stung lips, the incredibly precious chunky side rolls - all of it is amazing. I am honored to work with you! 

Today's newborn is a rainbow baby and because of this, my time with him was even more special than usual because I truly want to do an incredible job for Mom and Dad. Here are some of my favorite images from this session. A few of these are special requests from Mom and I was happy to fulfill for her.
