The following packages occur in our lifestyle natural light room at 4550 Post Oak Place Drive. 

Available six days per week, sessions are booked by appointment only through our online booking calendar. Please visit the Houston, Texas Portrait Studio page to browse contemporary pregnancy, maternity, and family sessions for expecting mothers and growing families to see samples of our studio images. All portrait packages include motherhood, sisterhood, or maternity wardrobe. In addition, we include an infant wardrobe for 3 - 18 months for both Brother and Sister. You also have the option to add highly acclaimed professional airbrush makeup and hair artistry to your package. 

Mini Maternity for Mother Only | $450 + tax includes 15 minutes of studio time and motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 5 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. The session is for the mother-to-be. One gown of your choice is included. This package is ideal for mothers-to-be who would like a minimal version of our more extensive sessions, such as the ‘simple’ or ‘classic’ below. A ‘mini’ means the meeting is a miniature version of our full experience. 

Mini Family or Maternity | $550 + tax includes 20 minutes of studio time, spouse and children, and a motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 5 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. One gown of your choice is included. A mini package is ideal for parents or families who would like a minimal version of our more extensive sessions, such as the ‘simple’ or ‘classic’ below. A ‘mini’ means the meeting is a miniature version of our full experience.  

“The Simple” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $850 + tax includes 45 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 15 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Two gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like more variety or have children who take longer to warm up to the camera. 

“The Classic” Family, Maternity, Breastfeeding, or Motherhood Portraits | $950 + tax includes 60 minutes of studio time. Your spouse and children are included in addition to the motherhood wardrobe. Your choice of 25 full-resolution, professionally edited digital files (+ matching black/white edits) is delivered via instant digital download. Three gowns of your choice are included. This package is ideal for parents who would like to see several different setups and posed, candid, natural, and suitable if you’re looking for more variety.

By removing distracting props and backgrounds, your gallery will forever be stylish. 

• Update: as of 1-8-2022, the commercial office building in which our studio is located is no longer allowing pets to visit unless they’re service animals. We’re sad to share this, though we must abide by the building guidelines.

• Maternity sessions take place when your baby bump is about 28-35 weeks along.

What are the session types offered?

The contemporary lifestyle room is cascaded in stunning natural light. The ethereal atmosphere creates images that are fresh, pure, and authentic. We photograph family sessions, pregnancy, and couple’s maternity portraits in our lifestyle room. Motherhood and breastfeeding sessions are also welcome too.

The studio provides motherhood and maternity wardrobe.

OPTION TO ADD AIRBRUSH MAKEUP AND ARTISTRY TO ALL PORTRAIT PACKAGES

• The studio has partnered with a top-notch professional hair styling and airbrush makeup artist, Annie Williams. Services are available as an add-on to all portrait packages. Our preferred vendor provides on-location services at our studio or, if you prefer, your home.

OUR CLIENT CLOSET & WARDROBE FOR YOUR USE

2022 Updated Studio Wardrobe for Family, Siblings, Parents, and Motherhood | What to Wear 

• The studio offers a client closet you may utilize for any of your photoshoots. A studio wardrobe is included in all packages for your use.

• Motherhood wardrobe features close to 300 dresses in sizes small through 2XL.

• For Dad, a small wardrobe features shirts and sweaters for your use in sizes small-large.

• For brother, shirts and sweaters are also available.

• Sister's wardrobe features adorable dresses and simple tops.

• Infant wardrobe for girls and boys is available from newborn - to 24 months.

• Please bring a nude bra and a strapless bra if interested in-studio wardrobe for motherhood wardrobe. A camisole is also helpful if you'd like more coverage. If you're a maternity client, feel free to bring a pretty bra or panty set of your choice for mothers interested in intimate, boudoir-style maternity photos. You may also do an oversized sweater, boy shorts, etc. There's no obligation; many moms like to do something a little more modern/contemporary.

• Please stick to neutrals, earth tones, and muted colors for siblings and Dad. Dad and Brother should wear jeans or khaki pants, and we can add a studio shirt if you wish. If you're bringing clothing from home, Avoid neon colors. Orange, yellow, bright greens or pinks are not favorable. The colors that photograph well are light grey, tans, creams, white, and ivory. Seafoam, navy, mauve, and colors are lovely, too! Earthtones are beautiful because they photograph well on skin tone; they refer to natural colors such as brown soil, green leaf, cloudy sky, and red sun. Examples of earth tones we love to see are rust, marigold, deep navy, burnt sienna brown, terracotta, sage, turmeric, hunter green, and more.

• Ideas for Dad: simple button-up, henley shirt, sweater, v-neck, anything without a distracting pattern or neon colors. Slacks, dark wash jeans, and simple ones are best.

• Children look lovely in knits, simple cotton dresses, sweaters, jeans, or khaki pants with a solid or neutral-colored top.

Expect to see various tones, textures, and fabrics, all of which are curated to photograph beautifully. We offer diverse options such as, but not limited to, neutrals, grey, ivory, creams, whites, and muted colors and nudes, although there are colorful options. Jewel tones and classic black make an appearance, too. Complimentary gown fittings are welcome. These are available in sizes small through extra-large. An ample sister wardrobe is a new addition, also! Available in sizes three months - 8-T. At this time, our closet includes over 200 dresses. We also offer complimentary gown fittings, so you may visit in advance to look throughout the client's wardrobe. We also have a handful of Dad tops in case of emergencies, though, upon booking, a prep guide is provided. Hence, you have a great idea of what Dad should wear for his portion of the photo shoot.

• Maternity Sessions: Your pregnancy is an exciting time; your heart is filled with joy as you prepare to meet the greatest love of your life: your child. The unconditional bond, soft kicking of feet - you feel it all. Preserving this memory is a beautiful way to celebrate your baby bump. There will be a time when the pitter-pattering of tiny feet has ceased to echo, and you will need long to feel your belly swell. It's bittersweet though a timeless maternity session will permanently preserve this wonderful time before your little love enters the world. We provide the top family maternity photography in Houston.

• Maternity sessions take place when your baby bump is about 28-35 weeks along.

You may expect a modern gallery of thoughtfully crafted images reflecting clean, classic, and timeless tones. Maternity portraits showcase the beautiful feminine silhouette. Please note our studio offers artistic profiles and tasteful, intimate pictures. However, we choose not to share this style on our website, Facebook, or Instagram pages due to the private' private nature.

Family Photography: Many of my newborn clients return for updated yearly family portraits. A modern and diverse gallery is created by showcasing several setups and combinations. These include, though not limited to, the entire family, Mom with kids, Dad with kids, individual images of each child, a sibling set up, and Mom and Dad together. When your children are older, I assure you that they will cherish their parents' pictures at different marriage stages.

Pricing is fully inclusive and completely transparent.

There are four tiers of pricing from which you may consider. It is recommended you select the package with the number of digital files you would like to receive. Please note that you are investing in the right to print your full-resolution digital files without separate session fees, minimum print orders, or in-person sales appointments. 

• Fully inclusive pricing includes coverage, motherhood wardrobe, retouching, and an online proofing gallery from which you’ll select the images included in your package. The full-resolution digital files in your package may be printed as large as you wish infinitely. 

• Your images are delivered via instant digital download of full-resolution, non-watermarked pictures. Your package includes print release, lab recommendations, and cloud storage ideas.

• 14-day turnaround time for online proofing from the comfort of your home.

• The studio offers to add a variety of lovely prints, products, albums, and wall art. However, there is no obligation to purchase anything beyond the initial investment of your chosen package. Please note we do not include RAW or unedited images. We sell complete work; anything added to your package beyond your initial investment is an add-on.

HOW PARENTS CHOOSE & RECEIVE THEIR DIGITAL FILES

• Fourteen days after your session, an online proofing gallery is delivered to your preferred e-mail address. From the comfort of your home, you select the images included in your package. You see all the fantastic pictures from our time together and choose the number of included images in the chosen package. You can add additional photos though there is no obligation to do so. Please note we do not include RAW or unedited images. We sell complete work; anything added to your package beyond your initial investment is an add-on.

• At that time, your selections are professionally edited. Retouching is applied to your chosen images, such as skin smoothing, eye sharpening, teeth whitening, and more! The final edits are completed within three business days to ensure your pictures are naturally polished. The gallery is yours to download, share, and treasure forever. You may also send the link to family, friends, or loved ones who would like to enjoy the portraits! You may also add various stunning heirloom prints, products, and tangible wall art through the online store. All items are drop-shipped to your home.

• All sessions are delivered via instant digital download.

SBP is located at 4550 Post Oak Place Drive, Suite 203, Houston Texas, 77027 in Uptown near Riveroaks inside the 610 loop. The main cross streets are San Felipe and 610.

When do appointments take place?

Sessions are available by appointment only in Sarah’s Houston Photography Portrait Studio.

  • STUDIO HOURS & 6 DAYS PER WEEK AVAILABILITY:

    Studio sessions, consultations, and gown fittings occur during the hours below. Sarah and Kevin are a husband and wife team with six days/week availability. Sundays are no longer available as our studio's commercial office building is located within stopped offering air conditioning on Sundays in response to COVID-19.

  • Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 pm

    OUTDOOR, ON-LOCATION PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY HOURS

    Outdoor sessions (maternity or family) are scheduled outside studio hours at sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset. Due to the tentative nature of outdoor sessions, these occur at different times throughout the year. Would you please e-mail directly as our online calendar is for studio appointments only?

    • We offer ten outdoor appointments per month. If weekends are your preference, please consider booking as early as possible.

The online scheduling calendar completes all bookings, scheduling, and intake forms.

The calendar below shows available dates and times for your studio maternity, family, motherhood, or breastfeeding session. The scheduling calendar includes your contract, $100 deposit information, and styling questionnaire.
