Sweet Cherub Cooper's Studio Newborn Session Featuring a burgundy, green, and turquoise color scheme
Introducing Houston Newborn Cooper at 9 Days Fresh & 6 pounds of cuteness
Greetings to you! Howdy! I'm thrilled to see you're here on my little 'ol blog. Today I'm going to be previewing a recent baby boy newborn session that took place in my gorgeous Houston Newborn Studio. I offer three newborn collections that cater to different pricing packages such as the following:
You may be interested in reading up on those if you're currently pregnant or are shopping around for a newborn photographer.
Cooper is a handsome baby boy who visited when he was 9 days fresh and new. My newborn sessions typically take place in the first 14 days of life; most mothers to be book in their second trimester, but sometimes I have a last minute appointment open so I encourage you to inquire even if your already in the third trimester.
When booking, his sweet mama mentioned she was looking for unique Houston newborn photography and colors you don't see as often. While traditional colors such as a blue or white are really nice in a baby's first portraiture session, I do encourage you to consider colors that are a little outside the box. Creative color schemes add much soul to your final gallery and allow you to have an interesting and dynamic newborn session. I achieve this look through cozy wrapping and styling with vintage inspired pieces. All props and items are provided by me to ensure a cohesive gallery, too. Just bring baby and their diaper bag; leave the rest to me.
This rustic wooden bucket is one of my favorite studio props since it is timeless and classic. It can be used for either a baby boy or girl without any issues; it's also a good option for baby plan membership clients since it can be used during the sitter session and 12 month/one year photos, too. I also adore the rich wooden floors in my space, too. My husband created them just for me - it took about 50 hours but he did it as an anniversary gift so I am very pleased with the final look! I love the different colors of stain and wanted something full of character for my sessions.
The potato sack portion of his session is super precious, too! I have every color of bonnet on hand, so it's fun to use these classic, sweet pieces to show off those chubby cheeks! Props, you see, should not detract from baby but should enhance their sweet newborn features.
This gorgeous hunter green pairs well with a simple, wire basket. The tootsie wrap is so sweet and cute, too! This is a style of wrapping you'll find in all three of the newborn collections linked above; I do each session with the same flow to ensure consistency throughout.
The parent posing portion of your newborn session is really near and dear to my heart. This is a time when baby fits in your hands; they're so sweet and fresh and new as they enter the world. You will fondly look back on these images and remember the first month of life.
